Who’s OK with the old Tamburello corner coming back to Imola, at least as a chicane bypass.

I’m cool with it coming back completely. The modifications made to the track after Senna sorta killed the flow and essence of Imola IMO.

Although it isn't bad by any means

My take is, with current soft barrier technology, the old corner can be brought back, with the only problem being fussing about with runoff.
Looking at the onboard from Imola in 1989 and the 130R from the same year, you can really see the parallels. Tamburello is more like a longer-apex 130R.

Part of me would want back they way it was if they could bring it up to standard. But it’s also kinda good to have the chicane for overtaking considering how hard it is for the cars to follow each other nowadays.

Yeah it really is. And we all love 130R, so I think it would pay off for some of the old track to return. But I’ve heard that Tilke will be there to “update” (read:ruin) the track. God help us if he gets a hold of it.

I don’t care either way. I don’t know anything about that track anyway :p

All the old Tamburello needed was more runoff. Bring it back and knock down some trees.

Um, there’s a river literally feet from the outside barrier, as seen at the bottom of this image.

I am ashamed to say I did not know that, thanks.
